- Dallas Zoo Lights
The Dallas Zoo is Texas’s oldest and largest zoo. This nonprofit zoo spans 106 acres and has more than 2,000 animals. Its annual walk-through Zoo Lights holiday event features light-wrapped trees, incredible illuminated lanterns designed to look like animals, a Santa’s Workshop attraction and more. Entrance to Zoo Lights is not included with a general-admission zoo ticket; it requires a separate ticket, purchased in advance. ICE! is a holiday celebration held at Gaylord Texan, which is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth town of Grapevine. It’s not a traditional holiday lights event, but rather an immersive indoor experience featuring incredible, illuminated sculptures made of ice. This year’s event features characters and scenes from Dr. Seuss’s holiday classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Tickets are required to attend the attraction, which is scheduled to be held November 10 through December 31 this year.
- Prairie Lights
Prairie Lights takes place in Grand Prairie, at Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake. It features a drive-through holiday lights experience with hundreds of light displays of all kinds, comprised of an incredible 4 million lights. Halfway through the drive, you can get out of your car to experience a walk-through wonderland, concessions and even a Christmas carnival.
