In fact, wearing darker clothing will actually attract mosquitoes, since darker colors trap carbon dioxide from the body, which mosquitoes enjoy. 4)    Mosquitoes are Attracted to Specific Blood Types

 There are conflicting studies about mosquitoes’ ability to target specific blood types. One study claims that mosquitoes would land on people with a Type O blood type at twice the rate of other types. While this provides some evidence for the claim, a single study cannot prove the truth behind mosquitoes’ attraction to specific blood types.
